ANGLERS PARK FLORIDA MORTGAGE LENDERS CITY DATA
Anglers park near Wakefield with visitor centre, nature reserve, picnic area and excellent winter wildfowl site. Booster scooters available for loan from discovery centre.
The visitor centre has an interactive display. Visitors put on explorer helmets, through which tales are told. The country park and visitor centre are part of the much larger 'heronry' area which encompasses woodlands, farmlands, wetlands and the disused Barnsley Canal.
Early talks were held in the old bandstand, which was located, where the present kiosk stands today. Further meetings were held in a loft at the back of a Mrs. Gilchrist’s house in Victoria Avenue on the corner of Lt. Page Street. These early meetings resulted in a public meeting being called and to be held in the Continental Cafe at the northeast corner of Kerferd Road and Beaconsfield Pde. The foundation members agreed to build a clubhouse and to put in £2 each to pay for timber, nails etc.
